If I knew my true identity…
I would no longer see myself as a tool for pleasure or a body meant only for bearing children.
I would see myself as sacred, formed by divine hands for a divine purpose.
I would stop playing small, because smallness does not honor the greatness God has placed inside of me.

I would only respond to names that uplift and align with my destiny—names that correct with love, affirm with grace, and speak to my future.
I would remember that I am not here by accident. I am intentional. My presence is necessary.
Without me, mankind is incomplete.

If I knew my true identity…
I would say “no” to anything that breaks me, even when “yes” seems easier.
I would stop letting rejection and neglect define my worth.
I would speak the truth—in love, without apology—and stop internalizing the bitterness and brokenness of others as my own reflection.

I would rise, like Maya Angelou told me.
Dance in my freedom, like Josephine Baker.
Be courageous, like Harriet Tubman.
Fearless, like Deborah Sampson.
Bold, like Sojourner Truth.
And free, like the blood of Jesus declared me to be.

If I knew my true identity…
I would look in the mirror and say:

You were never meant to follow the crowd.
You were created to shift atmospheres, to change the world.
You are a world-changer. A fire-starter. A light in dark places.
You carry heaven within you.

A Final Thought:

If you’re reading this and your spirit is stirred, it’s because truth resonates.
It calls out what has been buried under trauma, labels, lies, and silence.

It’s time to rise.
Time to reclaim your voice.
Time to walk in your God-given identity—fully, freely, and fiercely.

Let’s Reflect:

  • What voices have tried to tell you who you are?
  • What do you sense God saying to you about your true identity today?
  • What’s one step you can take to walk in freedom this week?
